Call 5 Update

Final Opportunities to Apply!

The ongoing Call 5 for projects started on July 1, 2025, and will end this summer. There have already been three cut-off moments, and two more cut-off moments are coming in April and July 2026. The Call is structured in two steps: Every project needs to first hand in their project idea (step 1), once this idea has been approved, you can hand in your full application (step 2).

The budget for Call 5 is getting smaller and smaller!

Currently, € 31,239,670 of the Call budget is still available. This does not include the funds for projects from the third cut-off moment, which are still being reviewed. If you would like to apply in April, please note the following:

• Priority 1: Would you like to submit a project in the thematic area of a smarter Meuse-Rhine region? This priority is still open to new ideas, but be prepared for strong competition! This also means that time is running out for all projects that have submitted their project idea for step 1 and received a positive evaluation. You should then quickly prepare your complete applications (step 2), which must be very convincing.
• Priority 2: Would you like to contribute to a greener Meuse-Rhine region with a project? We are delighted that this priority is very popular and we have already received many applications in this area. Therefore, there is a high probability that there will be no funding available for this priority, after projects already in the pipeline have been evaluated. Due to the current rush for this priority and the two-stage application process, we may not be able to consider completely new ideas (step 1 applications). Those who have already submitted their initial project idea (step 1) should hurry and prepare for strong competition.
• Priority 3: If your project addresses the topic of a more social Meuse-Rhine region, there are still opportunities available and good projects have a good chance for funding, both for new applications (step 1) and for ongoing applications (step 2).

Bottom line: Hand in your applications as soon as possible. This Call works on a first-come, first-served basis, so being quick pays off, especially in the particularly popular priorities. If you are interested in starting a social project, this might be your time!
