The journey from an idea to the international market readiness of a product, process or service involves many development stages and is marked by risk and financial investment. To mitigate the risk of failure for businesses and to support excellent R&D at research institutions, a wide range of funding and financing opportunities are available at regional, national, and European levels. However, identifying the right funding instrument can be challenging.

The Innovationsagentur Rheinland-Pfalz is committed to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in finding suitable programmes.

The online event series “Funding Programmes – Short & Snappy” aims to provide concise insights into current funding opportunities and inform companies about ongoing calls. At regular intervals, we invite experts from the respective funding bodies to present a specific funding instrument – whether sector-specific or open to all topics – in a compact online format.

STIPP – The cross-border funding instrument for SMEs in the Meuse-Rhine region

The programme targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)* that:

✔️ operate in the fields of industry, green tech or health
✔️ are planning to implement new innovation projects
✔️ are interested in international cooperation with partners from Belgium, Germany or the Netherlands

🎯 Programme objective: To support cross-border consortia that jointly develop market-ready solutions – with matchmaking, advice and financial support.

• SMEs from the Rhineland-Palatinate regions of Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm and Vulkaneifel are fully eligible for funding. Participants from other parts of Rhineland-Palatinate may receive limited support. Full details will be shared during the session.
