Yesterday marked a significant milestone for the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) programme as its Steering Committee was officially installed. The Steering Committee includes representatives from each of the programme partners as well as advisory members from organizations within the programme area and will play a pivotal role in selecting projects based on pre-defined criteria.
This ground-breaking development brings substantial progress to the programme, with the expectation that Call 1 projects will receive feedback on their step 1 applications by the end of December. Armed with this crucial information, selected projects will then have until the end of February 2024 to prepare their comprehensive applications. Ultimately, the Steering Committee will make their final decision on Call 1 projects in the following spring, offering a final decision on the proposals by the end of May.
Simultaneously, the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) programme is actively gearing up for its second call, which will be launched in the spring of 2024.
The delay in deciding on Call 1 projects arose from extensive deliberations among the Programme Partners as they diligently worked towards establishing a cohesive and representative Steering Committee. The Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) Programme is happy about the successful installation of the committee and is looking forward to taking the next actions to support cross-border cooperation effectively in the years to come.
