A total of € 16.1 million EU funding is available for strategic projects

Today, 7 June 2024, the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) programme has opened a new call for proposals for cross-border projects. This third call is all about strategic projects. It is open to initiatives wishing to develop a people-to-people project under the Small Projects Fund or an innovation programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

What will be funded?

The funding is focussed on projects that will positively impact the topics mentioned above. To benefit from this funding, the initiatives must offer added value for the entire border region.

Project consortia consisting of organisations from at least two of the three programme countries, a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) and the Managing Authority are eligible to apply.

Call for proposals

Unlike the other calls for projects, the application and approval procedure is a one-stage process. This means that a complete application must be submitted directly by 21 June 2024.

The programme has made a budget of EUR 16.1 million available for this call for projects. The maximum funding rate through EU funds is 70%. Further regional co-financing can be requested from the respective programme partners.
