The Key 2 Circularity project (K2C) supports small and medium-sized manufacturing companies (SMEs) in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine region in becoming more circular. Circular working means using materials wisely, using products for longer and producing less waste. Currently, circularity in this region is still low. That is why K2C helps companies take steps towards a more sustainable way of working by offering knowledge, cooperation and financial support.

K2C focuses on three things. First, companies in different countries are linked together so that they can learn from each other and discover circular opportunities. Second, forty companies receive practical training and tailored guidance from experts so that they can learn how to apply circular strategies in their businesses. Third, a voucher scheme will be set up for 32 companies to make it easier to invest in circular solutions.

The ultimate goal is for companies to use raw materials more efficiently, make products last longer and recycle effectively. This not only helps the environment, but also makes companies more resilient and less dependent on new materials.
