Building the Industry 5.0 Bridge: Highlights from the first REAL Partner Meeting in Hasselt 

The REAL Interreg Meuse-Rhine consortium successfully launched its collaboration during the first partner meeting at Hogeschool PXL in Hasselt, bringing together 11 partners from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The shared goal: shaping a human-centric, sustainable, and resilient manufacturing industry.

The morning focused on aligning project objectives and the five work packages, ensuring a common understanding of the ambitions and impact for regional SMEs in manufacturing.

In the afternoon, a dynamic World Café session sparked ideas around three key pillars: mobilisation and networking, the REAL COMPASS for strategic translation of business challenges, and the 4 REAL TOOLKITS to bridge advanced technologies with shop-floor practice.

The meeting generated valuable insights and strong momentum for the project’s next phase. The consortium now looks ahead to its next meeting on 20 April, where activities will become even more concrete and action-oriented.
