Ten new cross-border innovation projects approved under STIPP
€ 2.2 million awarded to ten innovation projects through STIPP
STIPP is the Interreg Meuse-Rhine initiative that helps SMEs turn innovative ideas into successful cross-border collaborations. Together, the projects in this third call involve 26 companies from the Meuse-Rhine region and will receive approximately € 2.2 million in funding, representing a total project volume of around € 4.5 million.
The selected projects address key challenges in Industrial Transition, Green Transformation and Healthier Citizens. They cover a wide range of innovations, including battery technologies, AI and digitalisation, circular materials, MedTech and sustainable production processes.
Among the approved projects, INDUBATT-WELD and PURE-TEX illustrate the wide range of innovation supported by STIPP. INDUBATT-WELD is developing an advanced, digitally monitored welding and quality control system to enable high-quality, traceable battery production for SMEs. PURE-TEX focuses on circular textile recycling by enabling the selective removal of elastane from textile waste and converting polyester into virgin-quality raw materials. Together, these projects demonstrate how cross-border collaboration helps SMEs develop innovative solutions for both industrial and sustainability challenges.
Following the success of Call 3, STIPP will launch Call 4 on 1 August 2026. A total budget of € 3 million will be available for SMEs looking to develop new products, services or processes together with partners from across the Meuse-Rhine region. Selected projects can receive up to 50% co-funding.
