Webinar recording: “Innovative Technologies for Dual Use” now available

How can SMEs tap into new opportunities in security, defence and dual-use markets?

On 30 September 2026, the Interreg Meuse-Rhine (NL-BE-DE) STIPP Instrument and SAFE – Supplier Awareness for Future Engagement in Defence Contracts, an Interreg Deutschland-Nederland project, jointly hosted the webinar “Innovative Technologies for Dual Use”.

The session explored how technologies and capabilities originally developed for civilian and industrial applications can open up opportunities in security, defence and other dual-use markets.

Participants gained insights into relevant value chains, market requirements and cross-border collaboration opportunities, as well as the support available through STIPP and SAFE. The webinar also featured company perspectives on entering and working within dual-use markets across Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

For SMEs interested in developing a cross-border innovation project, the current STIPP call remains open until 29 October 2026 at 12:00 noon. Eligible SME consortia can apply for up to 50% co-funding.
